Vocal score also arranged by Rimsky-Korsakov, 1897
|
Navigation etc.
Given a private performance on 5 November (OS) 1897 by the Blumenfelds, where Rimsky expressed the intention of dedicating the work to the memory of Aleksandr Dargomyzhsky, according to Reminiscences of Rimsky-Korsakov (Yastrebtsev, translated by Florence Jonas). (I have trouble interpreting the name on the vocal score- is this who he did in fact dedicate it to?)
