Chinese born composer Chu Wanghua is renowned for his major role in composing the Chinese classic – “The Yellow River Concerto” in 1970, which is internationally recognized and widely performed and recorded.

After he came to Australia in 1980s, his symphonic poems “Ash Wednesday” (1985) and “Autumn Cry”(1989) were performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and his symphony “Silk Road” was performed by Pro-Musica Orchestra in 2007, contributing to the understanding and fusion between Eastern and Western Music.
