Biography
China People's Armed Police Force Male Chorus & Orchestra consists of outstanding graduates from many professional music colleges across the country. China People's Armed Police Force Male Chorus is currently only professional male chorus, which premiered in Beijing in April 2007.
Their singing has a distinctive military feature, which is magnificent, powerful and unswerving with delicacy and highly emotional tension. China People's Armed Police Force Male Orchestra is characterized by orderly staffing, delicate performance, rich experience, rigorous style and broad repertoire, which has been highly praised by experts and masses of audience.
Since its inception, it has staged repeated gratitude-oriented performance to the grassroots troops, and it is popular with front-line military officers and soldiers. It successfully holds themed concerts such as "I Stand Guard for Our Great Country", "Soldier's Songs", "The East Is Red", "Song of Volga" and "Melody of Youth" in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing Poly Theatre, Beijing Concert Hall, the National Palace Grand Theatre and other places. As the first performing arts group in the PLA, it has been invited for inaugurating-season concert in National Centre for the Performing Arts Concert Hall.
China People's Armed Police Force Male Chorus wins No.1 of Choral Contest in "the 7th Chinese Music Golden Bell Award", Silver Award of the 1st Choral Competition of the 13th CCTV Young Singer TV Grand Prix and Golden Award of Choral Competition of the 14th CCTV Young Singer TV Grand Prix. It is not only enthusiastically hailed by hundreds of millions of televiewers, but also attracts the broad attention from news media. It is crowned as "No.1 Brand of Chinese Chorus."
Over the years, it accumulates more than 200 Chinese and foreign classical choral songs, adapts more than 30 choral songs, holds more than 50 special concerts in Beijing and other places, publishes two music discs entitled "Glorious Voice I: Way to Paradise" and "Glorious Voice II: Listening to Mum Talking the Story about the Past", and wins "Gold Disc Award of Chinese Music". Its passionate vigorous singing and majestic flexible playing are high praised by the CPC and state leaders and the audiences in Beijing.
