Dai Yuqiang is a Chinese operatic tenor. He was the first and only Chinese student of Luciano Pavarotti. With Wei Song and Hong Kong born Warren Mok he has performed abroad as "China's Three Tenors."

Biography

Dai Yuqiang is a prestigious and famous tenor in China, has won a series awards during his opera career. he was honored to be the only Chinese student of Luciano Pavarotti, his voice was highly appreciated by Tibor Rudas, the man who invented the Three Tenors.

Dai Yuqiang made his Covent Garden debut in Puccini's Tosca. To coincide with that debut, EMI has issued his first recital album, recorded in London in October of 2001.

Dai Yuqiang has performed in major roles in the London's Covent Garden and Royal Opera House, in Milan's fame La Scala Opera House, and at the American Pacific Opera House. He played the major role in a lot of operas such as Turandot, Carmen, La Traviata, etc.
