Biography
Li Yuemeng began her B Mus studies in Royal Academy of Music in September 2015 , under the tutelage of professor Colin Stone. In October, she won second place in the “Lilian Davies Prize”.
Li Yuemeng was born in China, and began to play piano as a young child. At the age of six, she had already performed on stage. When she was nine, she was invited to perform publicly in Germany. At ten, Yuemeng was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music’s primary school , and was promoted to the Conservatory’s middle school. During the period in the school, she was awarded successive scholarships for professional excellence, and participated many times in best students’ concerts . In 2014 Yuemeng won first prize in the Central Conservatory of Music’s 11th Academy Piano Competition.
Yuemeng also won first prize in the Yamaha music scholarship, and won the silver medal at the 2014 China Central Television Piano Competition. In 2012 she won the ZhouGuangren Young Pianist Award, and first prize at the Third Steinway Youth Piano Competition for North China . Since winning the Gold Medal and Special Award at the Beethoven Fest (Bonn) invitational Competition in Germany , she has twice been invited back to Germany to participate in Beethoven Fest performances and academic exchanges . She is popular with German audiences, and has been recognised by Deutsche Welle and other media outlets.
In 2015 , Yuemeng has been invited to the BNP Paribas Piano Festival and performed recital. Besides, she has successfully performed many concerts and recitals in the best-known concert halls in China , and has collaborated with many orchestras and artists , such as China Philharmonic Orchestra and Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra with the conductor Daye Lin , Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra with conductor Ajna bihlmaier, Taiwan Wuling Philharmonic Orchestra with the conductor Yancheng Yu, New Haven Chamber Orchestra with the Chief Conductor Yang Jiao.
