Biography
Ms. Wang began her cello studies at the age of 5 with her father, who is a renowned cellist in China. She attended the the Affiliated High School of Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, followed by an undergraduate degree from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she studied under Prof. Quan, Rushi and Prof. Yu, Mingqing. Ms. Wang attended her graduate study at Southern Methodist University in Dallas with full scholarship, where she studied with Prof. Nathaniel Rosen, Prof. Tim Eddy, and Prof. Andres Diaz. She received her Artist’s certificate with the highest performance ability.
Her solo recital was at the music hall of Central Conservatory of Music in June of 2007, getting top acclaims. She also gave recital at the music hall of Harbin in 2010, receiving great reviews from many media outlets including the Harbin Daily, Heilongjiang Daily, and Harbin TV station. The performance was broadcasted live from FM 90.9, City Music Station of Harbin.
Ms. Wang’s performance is exquisite, rich, expressive and narrative, yet full of passion and charm inside.
Ms. Wang is currently the Principal Cello at the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra.
