Zhu Man Zhu Man

Zhu Man studied in the Conducting Department of the China Central Conservatory of Music under Professor Yu Feng, the famous conductor, president and artistic director of China National Opera House, chairman of the China Association of Conductors, dean of the conducting department of the China Central Conservatory of Music. During the Beijing International Music Festival between 2005 - 2006, Zhu Man conducted Stravinsky' s Rite of Spring, Dvorak' s Symphony No. 9 and Rimsky Korsakov' s Capriccio Espagnol with the cooperation of London Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and China Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2005 and 2007, she continuously qualified for the finals of the Besancon Young Condutors Competition in France as the representative of China after winning the Asian Qualifiers.

Zhu Man became the standing conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the China National Opera House. In the meanwhile, she has also worked with many celebrated domestic and foreign orchestras, such as London Symphony Orchestra, Besancon Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the China National Opera House, Symphony Orchestra of the China Song and Dance Theatre, China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Xiamen Symphony Orchestra and Qingdao Hisense Symphony Orchestra, and has conducted a number of operas and modern works, including world debuts of works of many famous domestic and foreign composers.

As the conductor 2009 - 2010 International Opera Season of China National Opera House, Zhu Man conducted and rehearsed Puccini' s Turandot ( Bird' s Nest version ), Verdi' s La Traviata and Rigoletto, Mascagni' s Cavalleria Rusticana, Mendelssohn' s A Midsummer Night' s Dream ( theatre version ), Cantata Carmina Burana, China' s first new opera The White - haired Girl as well as Chinese original operas Farewell, My Concubine and Romance of Rawap, etc.

During 2009 and 2010, Zhu Man conducted multiple overtures of classical operas and concerto concerts in the Weekend Concerts of National Centre for the Performing Arts. In November 2010, the Azerbaijani comic opera The Bartered Bride, which has been performed for over 300 times, was performed in Tianqiao Theatre, which was conductor by Zhu Man and gained warm response from old, middle - aged and young opera lovers.

Besides, in answer to the event of " Classical Music Enters the Campus " organized by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance, Zhu Man has led the orchestra, song and dance troupe and chorus of the China National Opera House to introduce classical music to tens of universities in Changchun, Fuzhou, Xi' an, Kunming and Chongqing
