Overview
The Nanai people are a Tungusic people of the Far East, who have traditionally lived along Heilongjiang, Songhuajiang (Sunggari) and Ussuri rivers on the Middle Amur Basin. The ancestors of the Nanai were the Jurchens of northernmost Manchuria.
