"The Misty Xiao Xiang River" was originally created by the prestigious ancient qin performer Guo Mian (approx. 1190-1260).

The music is melodious and affectionate, with rich ancient qin techniques to depict the beautiful scenery of Misty Xiao Xiang River, along with mountains surrounded by clouds, in contrast with the broken country and uneven times. The music is adapted to folk orchestral music ensemble, with structure more compact, and polished with rich polyphony and adapter technique, making the mood more vivid.
