Paganini Jazz is a variation on his renowned 24th Capriccio theme. Originally designed as a charming encore work, Fazil Say transforms the theme into a virtuosic classical/jazz suite. He finds inspiration in classical, modern and jazz styles, and the music of Scott Joplin, Art Tatum, George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein.
