Rutter: For the Beauty of the Earth

简介 Introduction

《大地好风光》今被列为“崇敬圣父”的圣诗。最初是由领受圣餐时联想到神的各种恩典，因此感恩之心油然而生。原载在1864年英国出版的《感恩祭颂歌》一书中。（“感恩祭”乃是纪念主的晚餐，又称“圣餐”或“擘饼”）

这首诗从大自然的美丽，时序的运转，人生以及社会各方面的“神秘和谐”，来说明圣餐不仅是纪念主的神圣筵席，而且是感谢主、赞美主的祭。原来的副歌部分是：

敬向基督我们神，献上赞美感谢祭。

诗的原作者是皮尔波因特（F.S.Pierpoint，1835-1917）。他出生于英国，曾在剑桥的皇后学院就读，获文学学士学位。他写过许多赞美诗，多半都与大自然有关。

曲作者约翰‧卢特（John Rutter，1945-）是一位英国作曲家及合唱指挥，擅长处理大型圣乐合唱作品，曾编写多首圣乐作品，包括《荣耀颂》（Gloria）、《安魂曲》（Requiem）、)、《一切美丽光明物》（AllThings Bright and Beautiful）等。
